Who we are
HTA is an independent record label based in United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information described here. Contact us about anything in this notice at swamzybusiness@gmail.com.
What we collect
• Demo submissions: your artist name, email, location, links, the biography you write, and the music and artwork you send.
• Contact form: your name, email and message.
• Signed and developing artists: your account email, profile details, contact details you share with us, and the financial records needed to account for royalties (earnings, costs, payments).
• Website use: a single essential cookie keeps signed-in users signed in. Your browser also stores your sound and intro preferences locally on your device. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis (UK GDPR)
• To review demos and reply to enquiries — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• To run artist accounts, release music and pay royalties — performance of our contract with you.
• To keep accounting records — our legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use service providers to run this website: our hosting provider and database provider, our file-storage provider. We sometimes use an AI service to help us organise and summarise information inside our private tools; contact details are never included. Release information is shared with music distributors and stores when we release music.
How long we keep it
Demo submissions: until we have reviewed them and for up to 12 months afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Enquiries: up to 12 months. Artist and financial records: for as long as we work together and then as long as the law requires us to keep accounting records (typically six years in the UK).
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent, by emailing swamzybusiness@gmail.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
